Suddenly the voice of the Virgin Mary was heard from the image, which commanded the priest to finish the Mass quickly, so that the abbot could socialize. That's how it happened. As soon as the Elder shared, he fell asleep and because of this incident, the image acquired the name "Gerontissa". The holy icon of the Virgin Mary of "Gerontissa" is located in I.M. Pantokratoros and according to tradition is a gift from the Byzantine Emperor Alexius I of The Monastery
