Virgin Mary Of Kazan with Classic Frame and Glass

Also known as "Theotokos of Kazan" or "The Black Virgin of Kazan", it occupies a prominent position in the Russian Orthodox Church. Tradition states that the image was a gift from patriarch Constantinople of Germany II to the inhabitants of the city of Kazan in the 13th century, in order to have the comfort of Theometoros, from the frequent raids of the other sexes and the other religions.However the image was stolen in 1904 and shortly afterwards it became known that it was destroyed. The Russian Church interpreted the destruction of the image as a bad sign and as a source of suffering for Russia.
