kri-kri
kri-kri
The kri-kri or otherwise Cretan goat, is a feral goat inhabiting the Eastern Mediterranean which today is found only in Crete. The kri-kri is not thought to be indigenous to Crete, but is believed to have been introduced in the Minoan era and transported to Crete. It therefore seems to represent a specimen of almost ten thousand years old of the first domesticated goat and this animal was worshiped on the island in antiquity. The kri-kri is an emblem of Crete and has grave cultural significance.Specifations | |
