Minotaur

In Greek mythology, the Minotaur was a human body and the head and tail of a bull. He was born of Minos' wife, Pasiphae, who fell in love with the white bull that Poseidon sent to Minos and mated with him. By order of the king of Crete, Minos, the labyrinth where Minotaur would live was built by Daedalus. The Minotaur was eventually killed by Theseus.There are many interpretations of this myth, one of them being that the killing of the Minotaur symbolizes the abolition of the barbaric custom of human sacrifice by the most advanced Greek culture.
