Holy Knife

According to tradition during the period of iconoclasm one brought to Cyprus the image of the Virgin Mary. The Ascetic lived in a cave where he died and the image was covered with plants. Then the Virgin Mary miraculously gave a knife to the holy ascetics Neophyto and Ignatius, in order to cut the plants and find the image which they found at this point the Holy Monastery of Panagia Machera.
