Saint Catherine, also known as The Great Martyr Saint Catherine, is considered a protector of the Engineers as she was for the time a model of wisdom and education but also because she was martyred on a wheel. She lived during the Maximinos era, absolute ruler of Egypt, studied philosophy and rhetoric and many foreign languages of her time and studied and embraced Christianity which she spread thanks to her rhetorical talent. According to tradition, Maximinos instructed fifty orators to discuss with Catherine and prove to her that her beliefs are unfounded. However, not only did the orators not succeed, but they embraced Christianity because of the wise arguments of Saint Catherine. That's why Maximinos ordered her death. It is celebrated on November 25th.
