Saint Peter and Saint Evdokia with Modern Long Frame
Peter was the ruler of Murom and fell ill with the terrible leprosy disease and was cured after a vision from Febronia. Although they were from different social classes, they wanted to marry something the lords of Myrom did not approve of, so they were kicked out. But after their persecution many calamities found the state of Murm and asked the couple to come back. Towards the end of their lives they became monks known by their solitary names: David and Euphrity. They were expelled on June 25, 1228 and declared saints by the Russian Church in 1552. They are considered the protectors of young married couples.Specifations | |
