Saint Minas
Saint Minas
Saint Minas was a soldier and believed in Christ even though his parents were pagans. When he finished his military service he followed the ascetic way of life and devoted himself to the Lord. In an opportunity given to him in the celebration of the birthday of the pagan Diocletian, to preach the word of God, it was considered his gesture that was insulting and disrespectful to the emperor's face. He was tried and given the death penalty. He suffered cruel suffering and was eventually beheaded. It is celebrated on November 11th.Specifations | |
