Saint Heracleidios

Saint Heraklion marched with the apostles Paul, Marco and Barnabas, from whom he learned the Christian faith and the truth of God as well as the fraud of the idols. Through the preaching of the apostles he accepted the Christian faith and was baptized. Then he became a bishop and taught it because of God. However, he was tortured and in the end beheaded by pagans. It is celebrated September 17th.
