Saint Stylianos with Modern Frame

Saint Stylianos is a Mikrasian saint who lived between the 4th and 6th centuries. He was born in Edirne, Asia Minor. As soon as he came of age, he distributed his fatherly property to the poor and lived in a deserted place with fasting and persistent exercise in a cave. He gained, over the years, a reputation mainly for his miraculous prayer that helped many women when they were not procreation. Thus the Saint was established as protector of infants and healer of childhood diseases. He died in Paflagonia, unknown when. The Orthodox Church commemorates him on November 26th.
