Annunciation of the Virgin RW

The picture depicts the archangel Gabriel who was sent from God to the Virgin Mary to announce to her that he would bring the Son of God into the world. Gabriel suddenly appeared in front of Maria and addressed her: "Rejoice, O Full of Grace, the Lord is with you!" The young woman was reasonable to panic, but the archangel reassured her: "Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God. Behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and shalt bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name Jesus.
