Frame Erechtheion

The Erechtheion is a monument was built by the Athenians in honor of Athena and Poseidon to compromize them as according to mythology in this location became quarrel between Athena and Poseidon for the domination of the city. The sea god Poseidon hit the rock with the trident and water sprang up from sea. In turn, Athena speared the ground and the olive tree sprouted. The gods who were judges gave the victory to Athena. And so the Athenians decided to dedicate them from a sanctuary under the same roof. And so the Athenians decided to dedicate a monument to each under the same roof. However, the name Erechtheion is said to be came from King Erechtheus, who was identified with Poseidon.
