Saint Irene

Saint Irene came from Magedon and was the daughter of a king. Initially her name was Penelope but because of her devotion and her love for Christianity she was secretly baptized and named Irene. The manifestation of her interest in Christianity came from a crypto-Christian woman whom Irene's parents appreciated and had as his daughter's maid. She developed great action until her death. It's celebrated on May 5th.
